We offer our sincerest condolences to all who were impacted by the recent devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia and are offering prayers for their safety, well-being, and earliest possible recovery.
Ikeda Sensei encouraged victims of the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Northeastern Japan, saying, “I can only imagine your exhaustion.” He continued:
Nothing can destroy the treasures of the heart … Our practice of Nichiren Buddhism, our faith in the Mystic Law, enables us to change all poison into medicine without fail.”
On behalf of our entire membership, SGI-USA will be making a contribution of ten thousand dollars towards ongoing relief efforts in those countries.
Please take the best care as you care for others in your community.
Sincerely,
The SGI-USA National Team
